The King’s Head, Lichfield
Poetry Alight Open Mic
Headliner Liz Mills
7-30 onwards
2750 people passed through the doors of the Royal Pump Rooms in Leamington to look around the Book Extravaganza as part of Art in the Park. I had a lot of interest in my books (but not as many sales as I would have liked!)
I read as part of the Lichfield Poets. The event took place 0n 12th September at the Harvey Norman store during the Sutton Coldfield Literary Festival. It went well in front of a very appreciative audience.
I am delighted to have published my first book of poetry "The Jealous Moon". it is a collection of poems about some of the most attractive people in history and their relationship with power. One of the poems "Helen of Troy" can be found on my home page. Copies are available from Amazon.
A Pocketful of Poets
I am hosting this event on Saturday 24th October as part of the Rugby Literary Festival. This has been a great success in the last two years and our event "A Pocketful of Poets" has contributed to that. Come along, if you're around, and brighten your afternoon listening to a selection of poems offering wit, reflection, imagination, and inspiration.
